ready or noT — 10/10
This one’s a 10. After four years of quiet, brakence came back with something that feels put together with real care. Every piece of it being intentional.
With video taking it even further. Quadeca (one of my top artists) directed the whole thing, and the concept is abstract in the best way: being controlled, breaking free, and becoming more than just yourself. The visuals and the song feel like one idea.
The direction on Quadeca’s own Vanisher, Horizon Scraper was amazing, and that same eye comes through here. His abstract style and brakence’s fit together naturally. They understand the artistic direction the other is going for, and it shows how easily it all comes together.
The credits tell the story too. brakence wrote it with Wyatt Otis and Jack Obrocki (50landing), then produced, recorded, and mixed it himself, with Wyatt Otis co-producing and 50landing on additional production. Then seeing Joe LaPorta on this project stood out right away. He’s a legendary engineer, and you can hear that level of care in how it sounds.
The rollout was just as fun. It started with posters popping up around New York. A few days later the knot-here.world site went up, made by kambersss (brakence tagged them on Instagram), and it turned into a little puzzle game for fans to dig through including so much artistic effort into each new page.
Welcome back brakence. We are glad no one could eradicate your love for art.
